A Capital Project for LSLEB

Throughout these 30 years Lone Star Lions Eye Bank has been in operation, never has there been a permanent home for this organization. Now, A Vision for the Future: LSLEB’s Capital Project is being kicked off to complete efforts started in Spring 2000 to ensure our Eye Bank has a place to call home.

This Capital Project is designed to help fund the purchase of and improvements needed for the Eye Bank. The Eye Bank's permanent home is located at 102 E. Wheeler, Manor, Texas.

LSLEB is a 501(c )(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax deductible to the extent tax laws allow. Your gifts will make a difference. Corneas for sight restoration are provided without regard to a patient’s ability to pay. The Eye Bank receives no direct financial support from local, state or federal government. Revenues come directly from tissue processing fees, donations from Lions Club members and the General Public. Revenue in excess of expenses are invested back into the Eye Bank’s programs for sight restoration, eye donation, and equipment.

Throughout the years, this is the first opportunity for the LSLEB to have a permanent facility. This Vision for the Future has been formed to assist with fund raising for this building and for equipment improvement.

Walk for Vision

The "Walk for Vision" is planned for the Eye Bank’s Memorial Garden. Bricks in memory of or, in honor of one’s loved one may be obtained by contributing $100 per brick. Memorial Garden benches may be dedicated in memory of or, in honor of a loved one for a contribution of $500 or more.
